There is nothing more special than welcoming a new baby into your family. Those first few weeks are full of intense joy, exhaustion, and tons of cuddles. This newborn session was so much fun. The K Family was great to work with and they had a beautiful mid-century modern home with floor to ceiling windows in their living room and dining room - a photographer's dream! This mama told me they hadn't done newborn pictures for their first because of the pandemic, and I was honored to take these images for their second child. They also had a son under two who was full of energy and loved running around. I love when siblings are involved in newborn sessions! I even got to take a few pictures of big brother shooting some basketball on his living room basketball hoop. That's one of the unique and special aspects of in-home lifestyle newborn sessions - you get to be yourself in your home, so it becomes easier to capture your family's personality. My goal for any newborn session, whether it's is not to just take a pretty picture, but to beautifully document life with your new baby, just as it is.
I love in-home newborn sessions because every one is different. Every house has its own unique feeling and quirks. And I get to document all of that. I get to document the ever-growing love that you have for your newborn and family. It's so amazing, and I'm grateful every time I meet a new family to take newborn pictures.
