A little about me...
I'm Sarah - the woman behind the camera. I'm a natural light, lifestyle photographer north of Pittsburgh in Gibsonia, PA. If you're reading this you probably already know that, and I hope you're here because you love my work! So instead of writing a few paragraphs about how I started photography, I'm including a few facts about what makes me, "me".
- I'm married to my best friend, and we have 2 young daughters. As a mom of two, I know how quickly childhood changes. I know what it feels like to wish you could freeze a stage for just a little longer. That's why the images I create focus on connection and personality and not perfect smiles.
- I grew up with eight brothers and sisters, so big personalities, loud kids, and a little bit of chaos feel completely normal to me. If your toddler is running in the opposite direction or your kids are being silly, I promise I'm not worried.
- Running keeps me sane.
- My perfect vacation is hiking in the mountains.
- I try to get outside as much as possible. Hiking, exploring, anything! Being outside makes me happy.
- Before becoming a photographer, I served in the Army and spent time in both Texas and Afghanistan. It may seem unrelated to photography, but it taught me how to stay calm under pressure, adapt quickly, and connect with all kinds of people, which are skills that come in handy when photographing families and clients from all kinds of backgrounds.
- I love food. Cooking, baking, eating... all of it. There is nothing better than a warm chocolate chip cookie.
My goal isn't to create perfect photos. It's to create images that feel like your family. The way your child reaches for your hand. The way your baby curls up on your chest. The laugh that only your spouse can bring out of you. Those are the moments that matter, and those are the moments I want you to remember years from now.
