We had a perfect night for this sweet family of three! Their session was delayed a week due to rain, and it honestly turned out for the best because we had perfect early fall weather. The air was crisp, but not too cool. We used a hidden gem in North Park - I've used this field multiple times this past year through the seasons. It's beautiful in its own different ways in the spring and summer, but wow..... it's gorgeous in the fall!! I'm excited to see how it changes even more when the tree leaves show their color.
This family won the free session from my June giveaway, and were amazing to work with. Everything in their session just felt natural, and is the perfect example of how capturing connection is more important than perfectly posed pictures - Did we get a couple of traditional photos? Yes! But was that the focus for the entire session? Nope... I'd much rather deliver photos that show connection between my families, then perfect smiles and everyone looking at the camera. My job as the photographer is to make my clients feel comfortable and relaxed during their session so their personalities show. I feel like we accomplished that in this session.
After I get pictures of the whole family together, I love getting pictures of the parents individually with their kids. As a mother myself, I know how important those pictures with your kids are! And then of course, capturing the love between mom and dad is also just as important. We ended the session taking a few individual pictures of mom... between mom's rust-colored dress and the yellow in the field, the colors were just amazing. Thank you for trusting me with your pictures N family!!
