There's nothing better in the world than photographing newborns. And as a Pittsburgh Newborn Photographer, I'm lucky that I get to do exactly that on a regular basis! One of the reasons I love lifestyle newborn sessions is that they don't have to take place within the first couple days of birth. This session took place when the baby was 3.5 weeks old, and I've done photos of newborns who are 3 months old. This allows you to ease into the newborn phase without feeling pressure to schedule your newborn photos in the first week. But on the flip side, if you want your newborn photos to be in the first week, I'm all for it! The bottom line is that it's all up to YOU, mama.


Another thing to love about lifestyle newborn sessions is that they happen at your house. In your environment. This makes it easier to be yourself. And that's what I'm trying to capture at your newborn session. Your new family, just as it is... not contrived to look like a perfect picture of unrealistic expectations. This doesn't mean that I won't give you any direction at your session - I still guide and direct you so that you end up with beautiful, meaningful newborn photos, but it does mean that if your older kids are running around and can't stay still - that's OK! If your kids don't want to look at the camera for every photo - that OK!
